The Story

Unified for UNIFAT is purely student run and relies on the hard work and commitment of countless high school students. After two years of fundraising, hosting screenings, and advocating for UNIFAT School, we decided it was about time for the dedicated students of Unified for UNIFAT to meet the children they work so hard to support. Working in close partnership with the administration of UNIFAT School, Unified for UNIFAT has established an annual trip for high school students from active chapters in Unified for UNIFAT.

How It Works

Unified for UNIFAT chapters are entered in a contest to raise the most money they can in one year, from iDance to iDance. The iDance is an epic event that Unified for UNIFAT hosts each year in January that consists of a dance contest for prizes, a mixer, a hip hop dance team, and most importantly, the drawing of tickets to see which chapters get to send their hardworking students to Uganda. Upon completion of the iDance, the contest cycle starts again.

The Contest

For every $300 a chapter raises (the amount it takes to sponsor a child for one year) they get a ticket in the drawing. All money must be in no later than the day before the iDance takes place. During the iDance, 7 tickets are drawn with the name of the chapter on it. How ever many tickets are drawn for a chapter (limit 2 per trip) stands for the number of students they can send to Uganda the following summer. The chapters drawn are each responsible for choosing who goes from their group.
